I would like to express my deepest sympathies to the Hatherill family. Uncle Tom was a wonderful and fun figure in my life as a child. I am so greatful I got to see him last summer at Jodi's wedding. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. I remember the wonderful times we used to have studying the Bible with Helen and the younger boys. I hope the words of Jesus in Revelation 21:4 and John 5:28,29 will bring you comfort. I know that the resurrection hope will show you how loving our wonderful God and Lord Jesus is to all of us who lose loved ones in death.
Tom was best man at our wedding and like an older brother.He was a person that would do anything for anyone.We hadn't seen Tom for years,but often thought of him.He was the type of person that could leave an impact on your life forever.Our condolences go out to his family.
I was so touched when I read in the newspaper that Mr. Hatherill had asked that memorial contributions be made to ArtsinStark, The County Arts Council. In reading about Tom's life, I learned that he was into arts, and sports, and pool. In reading the comments of others who posted condolences, I sensed he was also very caring and compassionate. As the head of ArtsinStark, I was so moved by Tom's actions, that I had to write something. We wish all of Tom's family and friends well, and we'll try to keep working hard in Stark County to make this the best place in America for kids and families to experience the arts.
Tom was always a great person to work with and would always help anyone out.He will be missed.
