Thomas Michael Egan's Obituary
Thomas Michael Egan, 62, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at 9:30 a.m. at his home. Born in Chicago, IL on September 17, 1943, Tom lived in Alliance most of his life. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in Canton and served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Egan was the owner of Marketing and Sales Corporation in Alliance. Tom was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was also a member of the B.P.O. Elks #467 and the V.F.W. #1036. He is survived by his wife, Marty (Donohue) Egan, whom he married on April 20, 1974, a step-daughter, Michelle Kelleher of Alliance; two grandsons, Tyler Kelleher and Garrett Hershberger; three sisters, Margaret M. Egan of Alliance, Mary Frances Peterson of Palm Springs, CA, and Joan C. Egan of Roseville, CA; two brothers, Edward J. Egan and Robert E. Egan, both of Alliance; and many nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Edward S. and M. Frances (McGuire) Egan; a sister, Kathleen A. Dobrinick; and a brother, John E. Egan. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, July 28, 2006, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Saturday, July 29, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht as celebrant. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
