Shirley J. Patterson's Obituary
Shirley J. (Harry) Patterson, 89, of Alliance, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 9:21 pm at Compassionate Care Center in Canton, Ohio.
Born on April 6, 1935 in Alliance to Jesse and Iva P. (Sitler) Harry, she lived in Alliance all of her life.
Shirley was a member of Alliance First Assembly of God. She was active with Helping Hands Up, Young at Heart and the Drive Thru Prayer ministries.
Shirley was previously employed at Jays and Alliance Manufacturing.
Shirley enjoyed word find and jigsaw puzzles, gardening, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Patterson, whom she married on June 15, 1969; five daughters, Beverly (Ted) Jones of Barberton, Rita (Don) Sheppard of Jacksonville, FL, Debbie (Greg) Milliken of Waxhaw, NC, Christine (Steven) Ackerman of Alliance, and Stacy (Chris) Pfeil of St. Augustine, FL; her son, Donald (Terri) Dugan of Middleburg, FL; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her daughter, Lori Lynn Barnett; her parents; two sisters, Joanne Mummert and Dolores Rumel; and her brother, Jesse Harry, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 13, 2024 from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Alliance First Assembly of God. Her Memorial Service will begin at 3:00 pm with Pastor Todd Troyer, officiating.
