So saddened by the news of Scott's passing, I wish to express my most sincere and deepest sympathy to his wife and children, Lee, Tiffany and Derrick and his brothers, Richard and Craig. Throughout my adult life, I've often recounted stories of my childhood growing up in Alliance, most of which always seemed to include adventures with Scott. Although I moved away from the area as a young man, I've always held a great fondness for Scott and feel a true emptiness knowing now that he is gone. I fondly recall our days playing board games on the floor of the family home, combining our hot-wheels tracks, slot-car racing, fort building in the woods, countless games of flashlight tag, kick-the-can, battles of war in the back yard, endless Stratego and Battleship tournaments and sharing bologna and ketchup sandwiches. It was Scott who took me to my first Boy Scout meeting, and talked me into taking half of the paper route he shared with Craig, although I've known all along that I got the worst end of the route. I remember Scott's abilities as an athlete, and admired his skill in the pool and on the diving board. Although a couple years older than I, bigger and stronger, he always seemed to allow me a little edge during front yard football scrimmages. As I write, the memories of our exploits come flooding back as I'm sure they will for all who loved him. We had lots of fun and I will confess got into a little mischief. Memories of Scott will always be with us and he will be forever missed.
