Rose Mary Cabassa 's Obituary
Rose Mary (Sorge) Cabassa, 102, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 7:45 am at Altercare of Alliance.
Born on January 23, 1913 in Cleveland, Ohio to Florie and Anna Maria (Dionisi) Sorge, she lived in Alliance for most of her life.
Rose was member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church. She enjoyed helping out at her son's business, Louie's Place, and loved her family and being around her grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Louis (Janice) Cabassa Jr. of Alliance, OH; two sisters, Lucy Antonosanti of Alliance, OH and Mary Aulisio of North Lima, OH; seven grandchildren, Steve (Pam) Cabassa of Alliance, OH, Mike (Irene) Cabassa of Alliance, OH, Debra (Dave) Piero of North Canton, OH, John Cabassa of Alliance, OH, Patty (Jeff) Walker of Alliance, OH, Angel (Lance) Hadfield of Driggs, ID, and Scott (LaDawn) Burley of Las Vegas, NV; 22 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren & 1 great-great-grandchild, on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Louis Cabassa, Sr., whom she married in 1933 and died on November 1, 1985; a daughter, Veronica Cabassa; her parents, Florie and Anna Maria Sorge; three sisters, Loretta Husat, Jenny Stackhouse and Theresa Spada; and two brothers, Joe Sorge and Florie Sorge.
The family will receive friends at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, where her Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am, with Msgr. James Kolp as Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
