Pizzy was one of the hardest working men I have ever known. For years he volunteered for our Buckeye Village Market Cancer Society fundraiser by making pasta and sauce for hundreds and hundreds of people. He would do anything for you, and never hesitated to lend a hand. He was a sweetheart, a Christian, a gentleman, a gentle soul, and a dear friend to many. We will miss him very much. We love you Piz, Jenny and Todd and kids.
Pizzi, I promised you I would play Taps for you if you received your orders before I did. Now that you are on you way to your new duty station I will fulfill my promise and announce your arrival. Anchors aweigh, Pizzi! Taps: Day is done, gone the sun. From the hills, from the lake. From the sky. All is well, safely rest. God is nigh. Go to sleep, peaceful sleep. May the soldier or sailor, God keep. On the land or the deep, Safe in sleep. Until we meet once more. Here's wishing you a happy voyage home. Hand Salute. Ready two. Augie.........
My sister and I are going to miss our good friend Pizzy very much. He always gave us hugs and gave us the best pasta I have ever tasted. We know he will be making pasta in heaven. Our sincere sympathy.
Mrs. Begue, I am so sorry to hear about your brother Ronny. I remember helping out in the kitchen at Kent State and I also remember how great that pizza was. The restaurant was always so busy. Again my condolences to you and the family.
Ronnie, Those days at Kent should have done us in earlier !!! I'll never forget our times in Ft.Lauderdale during spring breaks with Hamo. You'll be making everybody happy Up There like you did down here ! Big Screen Bob
Pizzy, a great guy I met while at KSU in the early 70's. First met him at Big Daddy's, then enjoyed his food at College Towers Pizza. He was always great to his boys. The guys that hung around and harassed him until he threw us out. I haven't seen him in years but his passing brings me sorrow and also brings back a lot of great memories. Pizzy, before you go send a wagon wheel up to room 356 so Bender, Garner & I can pig out one more time. Love you Brother!
I would like to offer my condolences, I have many great menories of Ronnie in our youth and will always remember him as special person. John Stauffenger
I was sad to hear of Ron's passing. When I was a student at Kent State in the 60's, Ron gave me my first job at his Pizza shop where I worked with his nephew Sonny and two other roommates. Ron was a sweet man and good to us. We had very little so Ron meant a great deal to me. I remember him and that old group at Kent very fondly still. My condolences to his family.
Pizzy, Long gone are the days when you would urge guys to Stick around at the Flying Saucer Drive-in restaurant on State street til the wee hours of the morning. It was our gathering place and social outlet. Fair winds and following seas to a loving person and one of the Liberty Street guys. Porter and Sandy
