Richard Brienza's Obituary
Richard Carmen Brienza passed away, surrounded by his family, in his home in Alliance, Ohio on March 19th, 2024 at 9:05 AM at the age of 81.
Ric is predeceased by his parents, Carmen and Thelma (Donohue) Brienza; his sister Georgene (Brienza) Seitter; his in-laws, Willis and Wilma Faith; and brother-in-law Larry Faith.
Ric is survived by the love of his life and wife of 60 years, Laura Lynn (Faith) Brienza. They met in Larry Lynn’s Confectionary in 1959 and were married in Alliance, Ohio on January 18th, 1964.
Ric is lovingly remembered by his children, Ric (Cindy) Brienza, Robb (Wanda) Brienza, Gina (Bill) Hughes, Randy (April) Brienza, Wendy Brienza-Kelley and Maite (Carlos) Joven; his grandchildren, Michael, Christian, Preston, Nicole, Kale, Katelynn, Kohl, Willis, Madison, Miranda, Brady, Gabriel, Zachary, Shelby, Jesse, Gavin, T.J., Macey and Luke; 18 great-grandchildren; and his siblings Ben (Lorraine) Brienza and Lewie (Becky) Brienza.
Ric was born in Alliance, Ohio on January 8th, 1943. He graduated from Alliance High School in 1961 and went on to serve in the U.S. Coast Guard as a cook from 1962 to 1966. He worked as a claim supervisor at Erie Insurance before opening Williamsburg Press with his brother-in-law, Larry Faith.
Ric enjoyed golfing, flying, and constructing a model railroad. He was a co-founder of the Len Dawson Golf Classic which raised funds for Alliance High School athletics. He also enjoyed cooking delicious meals and spending time with his family.
A private celebration of life service will be held by his family.
