Larry Jeffers' Obituary
Larry Arlis Jeffers departed this world on October 27, 2025, at the age of 86, surrounded by his beloved family. He was born on August 16, 1939, in Warren, Ohio.
Larry married the love of his life and soulmate, Charline Jeffers, on August 29, 1959. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
He leaves behind a family who deeply loved and admired him: his children Pam (Scott) McIntosh, Jennifer Jeffers, and James (Tensing) Jeffers; his cherished grandchildren Megan (Tom) Miranda, Lina Jeffers, and Kayla (Justin) Johnson; and his adored great-grandchildren Azalea, Brayden, Colton, Cailley, and Josie. He is also lovingly remembered by his sister Penny (William) Kincaid, brother Dennis (Pat) Jeffers, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Larry now joins those who went before him—his beloved wife Charline, his daughter Susan Jeffers, his brothers George and Daryl Jeffers, and his parents Lucile and George Jeffers—in eternal peace.
A brilliant physicist and inventor, Larry earned his Master’sdegree from Case Western Reserve University. He began his career at Babcock & Wilcox in Alliance before founding his own company, Alliance Physics & Measurements, where he continued his work well into his late 70s.
Larry was a man of immense intellect, humor, and heart. To his family, he was the epitome of a devoted husband, father, and grandfather—wise, supportive, and endlessly loving. He could answer any question, fix any problem, and always made time for those he loved. His interests were as wide-ranging as his mind: music, nature, hiking, the arts, yoga, gardening, reading, and cheering on his favorite sports teams. He never missed a concert, play, recital, or game, delighting in every accomplishment of his children and grandchildren.
Those who knew Larry will remember him for his kindness, curiosity, and deep respect for all living things. His legacy of love, wisdom, and generosity lives on in the many lives he touched.
