Jesse A. Smith's Obituary
Jesse A. Smith, 81, of Alliance, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Akron General Hospital.
Born on March 11, 1941, in Alliance, to Jesse A. and Evelyn (Stout) Smith, he lived in Alliance all of his life.
An Alliance High School graduate, Jesse was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church.
Jesse was employed at Alliance Equipment as plant manager for many years. He was also employed at Merit Plastics, Royal China and Alliance City Schools.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and spending time with family and grandchildren, including Malori, Ben and Maddie.
Survivors include his wife Marlene J. (Frank) Smith, whom he married on December 3, 1988; three sons, Christopher (Holly) Schillig of Alliance, Brian Smith and James Smith; two daughters, Kimberly (David) Woodruff of Alliance and Lawny Noling; two sisters, Joyce Frank of North Canton and Katherine (Paul) Fletcher of Santa Clarita, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Carl Smith.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 9 - 10 am at Regina Coeli Catholic Church. His Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 am at Regina Coeli Catholic Church, with Fr. Peter Haladej as celebrant. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Maximo.
