Feeling very sad about this news. The Hanke family admired and liked Jesse very much. I am proud to be able to call him a friend, and I will miss him.

I worked with Jesse at the old North Lincoln elementary building for adult education. I had the privilege of golfing in a match with him and sharing many laughs.
I have a plant that he took care of for me and when he retired I was given the plant and still have it going strong.
