Harley E. "Gene" Nutter 's Obituary
Harley E. “Gene” Nutter, 71, of Homeworth, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Aultman Hospital.
Born on July 21, 1945 in Harrisville, West Virginia to Paul W. and Gerry (Ferree) Nutter, he lived in the Alliance area for most of his life.
A 1963 graduate of Alliance High School, Harley served our country in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam Era.
He was a member of Canton VFW Post #3747 and a member and Post Manager of the Alliance American Legion Post #166.
Harley was employed at Alliance Drop Forging and American Steel Foundries as a welder and retired in 2000 after almost 30 years of service.
Harley enjoyed working with stained glass, fishing, and loved to travel.
Survivors include his wife, Royceann Nutter, whom he married on February 17, 1987; son, Brian Nutter of Mentor; a daughter, Natasha (P.J.) Sirianni of Berkley Springs, WV; his granddaughter, McKenzie Sirianni; a sister, Paula (Mike) Fox of Louisville; and two nieces and a nephew.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Cremation has taken place and Private Family Services will be held at a later date.
