Ethel B. Francis' Obituary
Our lives have forever changed with the passing of Ethel Buzogany Francis. She was born and lived her entire life in Alliance Ohio. She was a graduate of Alliance High School - class of 1948.
She married the love of her life John L. Francis on June 30, 1951. During their 61 years together they visited all 50 states and enjoyed several cruises.
Ethel retired from Marlington local school. She was a girl scout leader for 16 years, a former Elks Aux. and was involved with the Alliance Art Center.
She was a deacon, circle officer and a past Sunday school teacher as well as being an active dedicated member of the First Presbyterian Church.
She is now reunited with her parents, Michael and Irene Buzogany, husband John L. Francis and many loved ones. She leaves behind her son, Rev. William (Beth) Francis of Colorado; daughter, Kathe (Alan) Oberholzer of Canton, daughter Sherri (Todd) Bowyer of Alliance, brother Dr. William (Phyllis) Buzogany of WI, brother Robert (Sue) Buzogany of GA, brother Barry (Marilyn) Buzogany of NC, brother Bruce (Beth) Buzogany of NC; grandson Jonathan (Nicole) Fankhauser, granddaugter Holly (Dave) Pugh, grandson John Francis, grandson Wil Francis, great granddaughter Skylar Pugh, great grandson Trent Pugh, great grandson Everett Fankhauser and many nieces, nephews, family and friends who meant the world to her.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at First United Presbyterian Church. Her Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am with Rev. Lynn Shetzer officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
