Elinore C. (Klan) Blume's Obituary
Elinore Catherine (Klan) Blume, 88, of Alliance, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 12:50 p.m. at Summa Health Care in Akron. She was born on July 13, 1923 in Ottawa, Illinois, the eldest of the nine children of Albert and Josephine (Stumphl) Klan. She had lived in Alliance since 1929 and was a graduate of Beloit High School. Ellie retired from the Raven Restaurant, where she was employed for 20 years. She is survived by a daughter, Laura Anne Emery of Alliance; a granddaughter, Stacy Emery and a grandson, Christopher Emery; two brothers, Richard Klan and his wife, Nancy (Precise) Klan of Huntsville, AL, and James Klan and his wife, Marie Elena (Huff) Klan of Lebanon, TN: a sister, Joan Rastani of Framingham, MA; brother-in-law, Cam Galieti of Northridge, CA; sister-in-law, Doreen (Hendrix) Klan of Canton; sister-in-law, Brenda Oliver of Redding, CA; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert E. Blume; son-in-law, Richard Emery; two sisters, Mary Klan and Shirley (Klan) Galieti: and three brothers, Charles Klan, Robert Klan, and Donald Klan, her sister-in-law, Betty (Reda) Klan; and her nephew, James Klan. Ellie was a kind, caring, and thoughtful person who was devoted to her family, her many friends, especially Michael Ellis, her neighbors, and her many pets. She will be terribly missed by all. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Joseph Peters officiating. Interment will follow at Alliance City Cemetery.
