Earl Wayne Phillips' Obituary
Earl Wayne Phillips, 46, of Alliance, died on Friday, October 14, 2011, at 10:52 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. Born on March 7, 1965 in Erwin, TN, he lived in Alliance most of his life, and was a graduate of Alliance High School. Wayne served our country in the U. S. Army and was employed at Sonoco Phoenix as a line technician for 20 years. Mr. Phillips was a committee member of Boy Scout Troop #101. In his past-time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching sports. Wayne is survived by his wife, Kristine (Lambert) Phillips whom he married on June 26, 1993; three sons, Joshua, Timothy and Christopher Phillips; two granddaughters, Katelyn and Dezaray; and his father, William E. Phillips of Alliance. Preceding him in death was his mother, Doris Marie (Shell) Phillips; and a brother, David E. Phillips. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, October 21, 2011 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Bill Lancaster of Alliance Believers Church officiating. Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will take place at Highland Memorial Park.
