Dona Jean Bonesteel's Obituary
Dona Jean Bonesteel, 90, of Alliance, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2009 at Alliance Community Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born on April 9, 1919 in Alliance, she lived in Alliance all of her life and was a graduate of Alliance High School. Mrs. Bonesteel was a fun and loving person and very much enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother and the companionship of her many close friends. Throughout her life she felt great joy caring for animals and was always an advocate for their kind treatment. Dona is survived by a daughter, Alice (Patrick) Quinn of Canton; two grandchildren, Julie (Richard) Morrow of Alliance and Jason (Elizabeth) Pudloski of Akron; and two great-granddaughters, Katie and Haley. Preceding her in death was her husband, Kenneth E. Bonesteel on June 8, 1990, whom she married on October 11, 1945, shortly after his return from World War II; and her parents, Clyde J. and Alice M. (Lincke) Sheehan. Private services will be held. There will be no calling hours. Interment will take place at Fairmount Memorial Park.
