Bud and family,

Some of my fondest memories in grade school and middle school are those spent with the Flugan family. I remember the way Connie's kids would make her laugh--what a great sense of humor that family has. Her life truly revolved around her family. Her house was usually full of kids. She made all of her kids' friends feel like part of the family which I loved. And although I haven't seen her in many years, I hope she knows what an inspiration she was to me and so many others! Hugs to all of you!
Connie is the most down to Earth angel that I am blessed to know. Her casual, candid ways made anyone around her feel warm and relaxed, because we knew we were in the company of a light-hearted, sincere spirit. I will most remember her laughter, singing to the radio while holding one of her kids in her lap, pretty smiles, doting over her family (yes, Bud, it was not just children that Connie doted over … I’ve seen her do so to you too!), and the lovingness and appreciation she always maintained in her attitude – Connie always emanated positive energy, regardless of what she was contending with, and she has moved me and I believe others to try to think that way too; I am going to remember that positivity and carry it with me from now on as Connie continues to be an inspiration. Prayers for peace are with you all. Jeane (neighbor and friend since my birth)

Bud and kids we were so sad to hear of Connie’s passing! It was always fun to run into you when we were back in Ohio, and loved hearing what the kids and grandkids were doing from Jim and Chris. You are all in our thoughts and prayers during this very sad time, and very glad we knew her. Jack and Joan Storck, California
