Clifford "Cliff" Legg's Obituary
Clifford "Cliff" Legg, 64, of Alliance, died on Monday, January 4, 2010, at 2:43 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. He was born on May 12, 1945 in Winchester, MA, and lived in Alliance most of his life. A graduate of West Branch High School, Cliff was a U. S. Air Force veteran of Vietnam. Mr. Legg spent most of his life as a press operator for Genie Company and retired from Giant Eagle. In his past-time, he enjoyed fishing and many years ago bowling. Cliff is survived by a daughter, Cathlene (James) Moyers of Carrollton; a son, Erik (Amy) Legg of Myrtle Beach, SC; and five granddaughters. Preceding him in death were his parents, Robert Julian and Miriam Gay (MacTeague) Legg. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday, January 10, 2010 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, January 11, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Joseph A. Peters officiating. Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
