I will ALWAYS remember my friend �Bugs� He got his nick name in the early 70�s at his bus stop when someone called him �Swamp Bug.� If I recall, there was one small lake and two or three marsh ponds near the bus stop. (I think that had something to do with it) Later as years went on it was shortened to �Bugs. We were best friends and had the BEST TIMES in the 70�s and 80�s and stayed in touch ever since. He was Best Man in my wedding in 1997 when I married my wife, Kelly. We worked together at several jobs when we younger like Howard White and Art�s Landscaping. (Boy! I remembered when he worked at Protecto Auto Care where he put in sunroofs, stereos and did custom work on interiors of most vehicles. He also helped me in building my custom van (The Black Knight). We installed two sunroofs and Four mind blowers which were the loudest speakers made in the 70�s (Not like the big bass thumpers in kids cars today) He was very mechanically inclined and could fix almost anything that was thrown at him. I would pick him up at his mom�s house on Spring Valley Rd. in the van and we would go out and cruise all night making sure we stopped at Dunkin Donuts for two chocolate cream sticks for each of us before we went home. One time when were cruisin� down West Tusc in front of Downtown Motors , there was a person walking on the sidewalk staring and checking out the van. As he was walking, he was looking at Bugs and just as he said nice van! He walked right into a metal telephone pole (OUCH!) When the light turned green, we drove away slowly because we couldn�t see the road from laughing so hard! It brought tears to our eyes! I actually think I had to pull off to the side of the rode for 10 minutes so we could get our composer back before I drove any further. (Continued Below)

We also worked together in the early 80�s with the Rock and Roll bands (Sindrome / Hott Shot and Alexander.)The bands played at the Limelight, Galaxy, and Filthy McNasties up in Kent. We worked with special effects like fog machines, flash pods, and propane flames as high as 20 feet. We worked the spot lights, light boards, sound boards. He was the BEST DAMN ROADIE for any band he worked for! I later retired from the band thing. Bugs moved on to running sound for a friend near Alliance into the later 80�s until he retired also. I will always remember the imitation he did of PINK FLOYD--- that high pitch sound they made on the song in another BRICK IN THE WALL. (I always think of him whenever I hear it) I remember when we graduated in 1976 from Perry High School as he went up on stage to get his diploma, someone in the crowed yelled out real loud, �SWAMP BUG!!� There are hundreds of memories I have of my friendship with him, these are a few I wanted to share. As life goes on, we grow older and wiser and start families; we drift further apart from our close friends from our child and adulthood, being caught up in the parenting of our children, and the love of our family. I wished now that I would have stayed in closer contact with one of my BEST friends ever!! I will miss you �Bugs�! I will never forget you, and when we meet again, we�ll have the BEST TIMES all over again!! One of Your Best Friends Ever!!! Joe Hosner
