Yolanda (Marazza) Rasile's Obituary
Yolanda (Marazza) Rasile, 87, of Garfield Heights, formerly of Alliance, died on Saturday, April 26, 2008, at 5:55 a.m. at Harborside Healthcare in Broadview Heights, Ohio. She was born on February 18, 1921 in Alliance, and lived in Alliance until 1959 moving to Garfield Heights. Yolanda was proud of her Italian heritage and that especially came out in her cooking. Her spaghetti sauce was second to none. She was also known for her generosity. She is survived by two daughters, Arlene Chernak of Sparks, NV and Judy Phillipi of Alliance; two sons, Michael Rasile of Garfield Heights and Ron Rasile of Salisbury, NC; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Castelucci of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, John Rasile on March 30, 2004, whom she married on July 30, 1938; a grandson, Danny Phillipi; her parents, Anerio and Angelina (Carosi) Marazza; a sister, Jennie Rasile; and two brothers, Dominic Marazza and Jim Marazza. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, May 1, 2008 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
