Wilma E. Barcus 's Obituary
Wilma E. (Reif) Barcus, 93, of Canton, and formerly of Alliance, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016 at 6:00 pm at the Canton Christian Home.
Born on March 24, 1923 in New Philadelphia, Ohio to Charles and Ada Lucinda (Peters) Reif, she lived in the Alliance and Canton areas for most of her life and was a member of Beechwood Christian Church while living in Alliance.
Wilma worked with her husband in the family business, Howard Barcus Construction Company, as Secretary.
She was a former member of the Alliance Quota Club and Alliance Women's Club. She was a member of the YM Wives and President of Auxiliary of the Canton Christian Home.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Suran of Cape Coral, FL; a son, Charles R. Barcus of Orlando, FL; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Howard J. Barcus, whom she married on June 25, 1944 and who died on October 13, 2002; her parents; a sister, Treva Yockey; and a brother, Harlan Reif.
Her Funeral Service will be held at the Canton Christian Home on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Ron Iwanusa, Chaplain of the Canton Christian Home, officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
