William D. Wright's Obituary
William D. “Bill” Wright, 76, of Alliance, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at his home in Alliance, Ohio.
Born on September 11, 1947 in Alliance to Russell and Margaret "Peggy" (Kuntz) Wright, he lived in Alliance all of his life.
A 1965 graduate of Alliance High School, he served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.
Bill was employed at SIA Alliance and later at V&V Appliance Parts in Youngstown.
He was a Charter Life Member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Thomas A. Mangino Chapter #157, and was also a member of the Christopher Columbus Society.
Bill enjoyed playing cards, going to casinos, shooting pool, and watching baseball and football.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn H. (Hahn) Wright; his daughter, Michelle (Eugene) Mckenzie of Homeworth; his son, Mike (Cara) Wright of Hudson; four grandchildren, Courtney and Cody Mckenzie and Maria and Max Wright; three brothers, Russell Wright, Robin (Rose) Wright and David (Becky) Wright; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and a sister-in-law, Thelma Wright.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 18, 2024 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. His Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial, with military honors, will immediately follow at Atwater Cemetery.
