William Franklin Tatsch's Obituary
William Franklin Tatsch, 86, of Alliance, died on Saturday, September 17, 2005, at 5:35 a.m. at Canterbury Villa of Alliance. He was born in Alliance on April 21, 1919, and had lived here all of his life. He was a member of the First Church of God. Mr. Tatsch was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S Army Air Corps, 8th Armored Division. He retired as a machinist from Transue & Williams and was also a former 1st Ward Councilman. He is survived by his wife, June Sutcliffe Tatsch, of the home (they were married on March 25, 1944); a daughter, Lori Knisley of TX; seven sons, William Tatsch of CA, Kenneth Tatsch of CA, Terry Tatsch of MI, Richard Tatsch of FL, Steven Tatsch of Alliance, Marc Tatsch of North Canton, Robin Tatsch of Alliance; 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a sister, Earla Ann Tatsch of Alliance; a brother, Eldon Tatsch of CA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William M. and Hazel (Gleich) Tatsch; two sisters, Gladys Donaldson and Willa Mae Tatsch; a brother, Kenneth Tatsch; and a grandson, Shane Tatsch. As requested by Mr. Tatsch, there will be no service or calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
