William H. "Bill" Smith Jr.'s Obituary
William H. "Bill" Smith, Jr., 73, of Alliance, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.
Born on May 6, 1952 in Alliance to William H. Smith Sr. and Florence (McKnight) Smith, he lived in Alliance all of his life.
He attended Alliance High School, and was recently employed at East Manufacturing as a salesperson and previously employed at MAC Trailer.
He was a member of Rays Bar and Grill Pool League.
William loved traveling with his friend Marcell Carter and just relaxing by the fire pit having good conversation and a drink.
Survivors include his three daughters, Lori (Jim Ballard) Smith of Alliance, Angela (Christopher Holmes) Smith of Akron and Erica (David Caputo) Smith of Singapore; nine grandchildren, Issac (Alyssa) Smith, Bralynn Ceresna, Jace Ceresna, Toni Schmied, Kaylee Atkins, Colin Atkins, Desai Holland, Amelia Caputo and Sawyer Caputo; several great-grandchildren; his mother, Florence (McKnight) Engle; step-mother, Marilyn Smith; two sisters, Cindy Brick and Marianne Miller; two brothers, Herbert (Karen) Smith and Terry Engle; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his father, William H. Smith, Sr.; and his granddaughter, Tiara Smith.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. A Celebration Gathering will follow at Don Poncho’s Restaurant at 6:30 pm.
