William "Billy" Poteet's Obituary
Our son "Billy" became suddenly ill on April 29, 2005. He departed this earth to be with "an old friend of his" Jesus, where he could be without pain and suffering. Though he cherished all of his loved ones here, the Lord had prepared his mansion and his time to walk the streets of gold had arrived. Those of us who knew and loved "Billy" will miss him dearly for all time, but his "earthly struggles" are over. This world has lost a good and kind person that only a few loved ones knew and understood. Our grief is deep and everlasting. Psalm 18 William "Billy" Poteet, Jr., 36, was born in Alliance on August 1, 1968, he had lived in the Alliance area most of her life. He was a graduate of Marlington High School and had further education at Stark State College. He had also served in the U. S. Army. He was formerly employed as a tool & Die Maker at PAR Industries of Medina, Ohio. He was active with the Alliance Hot Stove League Baseball from 1973-1985 and was a reciepient of their "Sportsman of the Year Award". Billy was blessed with a talent for the arts and had displayed his charcoal drawings at the Alliance Art Fest. He is survived by his children, Andy, Addison, Alex, Ashley, Alea, and Astoria; his parents, Cliff and Mary Lou (Weber) Craven; a very "special" sister, Jennie; a brother, David (Donnette) Poteet; nephews, Clay, Quaida & Kailer; grandparents, Richard and Arna Poteet and Allen and Betty Craven; aunts & uncles, Richard (Lynn) Weber, Debbie (Corado) Tenaglia and Jack (Sandy) Weber; and numerous cousins.
