William B. Pittman 's Obituary
William B. Pittman, 79, of Alliance, passed away peacefully and went home to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, October 2, 2016 at his home in Alliance.
Born on March 24, 1937 in Paden City, West Virginia to Carl Francis and Twila Eloide (Slider) Pittman, he lived in Atwater for most of his life.
Bill was a graduate of Waterloo High School, and served our country in the U.S. Navy.
He and his father Carl, were co-owners of Pittman Well Drilling. Bill was also a former owner of Pittman Highlander Laundromat in Atwater. He retired in 1989.
He was a Mason and member of the Scottish Rite, and a member of Oak Grove Golf Course.
An avid reader, he especially enjoyed reading & watching westerns. He also enjoyed, golfing, woodworking, hunting, fishing & boating, snowmobiling and was an all-around outdoorsman.
He was much loved & will be missed by his wife, Patricia Ann (Jones) Pittman, whom he married on June 17, 1973; daughter, Rhonda Mae (Donald) Monroe of Hartville, OH; son, Benjamin Scott (Pam) McIntosh of Streetsboro, OH; five grandchildren, Christopher Carroll, Jennifer Carpenter, Angela Stertzbach, Shawn Fergason, Kayla Johnson; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his son, Jeffery Lyn Pittman; and his parents, Carl and Eloide Pittman.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 11:00 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, with Rev. Ed Harnish officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Atwater Cemetery.
