William A. Lee's Obituary
William A. Lee, 67, of Alliance, died on Friday, July 7, 2006, at 10:27 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. Bill was born in Alliance on April 30, 1939, and was a lifetime resident. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Lee was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was also a member of B.P.O. Elks, the Dante Alighieri Society and the St. Thomas Aquinas Knightliners. He retired form PTC Alliance (formerly B&W Tubular Products) after 37 years of service and was an avid football and baseball fan. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Tracy Lee of Batavia, Ill.; three grandchildren, Jacob (5), Ryan (3), and Tori (3); sister-in-laws, Betty Zigler, Doris Herren, and Barbara Ewing, all of Alliance; and a brother-in-law, Homer K. Ewing of Queen Creek, Arizona; one niece; and one nephew. Preceding him in death were his wife, Mary Jane Lee on October 14, 2005, (they were married on October 11, 1968; and his parents, Rocky and Mary Ann (Brienza) Lee. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, July 10, 2006, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Fr. Thomas J. Dyer as celebrant. Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
