William C. Kleiver's Obituary
William C. Kleiver, 79, of Alliance, died on Monday, April 29, 2002, at 10:40 a.m., at Community Care Center. Born in Canton on January 23, 1923, he lived most of his life in Alliance. A 1941 graduate of Canton McKinley High School, he graduated with a BA Business Degree from Mount Union College in 1950. A Navy veteran of World War II, he retired in 1983 from E.W. Bliss of Salem as a production planner, and was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Ethel A. (Saus) Kleiver; a son, Robert Kleiver of Bridgeport, W.Va.; a sister, Dorothy John of Canton; a brother-in-law and his wife, Eugene and Lois Saus of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Alois and Carrie (Frank) Kleiver; and an infant brother Robert Kleiver. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, May 2, 2002, from 10:00 - 11 :00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, May 2, 2002, at 11:00 a.m., with Dr. William J. Sadler officiating. Burial will follow at Alliance City Cemetery.
