William James Joliet's Obituary
William James Joliet, 81, of Alliance, died on Thursday, May 8, 2008, at 10:40 a.m. at Altercare of Alliance. He was born on November 27, 1926 in Alliance, and lived in Alliance all of his life. Mr. Joliet was a graduate of John Carroll University and received a degree in library science from the University of Pittsburgh. A U. S. Army and Air Force veteran of World War II, William was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed reading. Mr. Joliet retired from the Stark County Library, where he was employed as a Librarian. William is survived by his brother, Richard (Alice) Joliet of Alliance; a niece, a nephew, and two great nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Edward and Edith (Babington) Joliet; and a brother Paul Joliet. Private services will be held. There will be no calling hours. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
