William E. Fraraccio's Obituary
William E. Fraraccio, 71, of Alliance passed away on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 3:10 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. Born on February 14, 1941 in Alliance, he lived in Alliance most of his life. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. A graduate of Alliance High School, he received additional education from the U.S. Army during his career. Bill retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service as Sergeant First Class. During his career from 1962 thru 1995, he had served 6 tours in Japan, 1 tour in Viet Nam, 1 tour in Korea and 3 tours in Germany. After returning State side, he served at Ft. Gordon, Georgia. As a resident in Georgia, he received his realtor s license and had been a realtor for several years. Mr. Fraraccio was a member and Past President of the Viet Nam Vets #157 and had been Jr. Vice President of the V.F.W. #1036. He was also a member of the NCOA (Non Commissioned Officers Association), the DAV Chapter 50, Memorial Day Committee for Alliance and the Alliance City Veterans Council. In his past-time, he was an avid sports enthusiast and diehard fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cavaliers and Indians. Survivors include three sons, Edward and his wife Yvonne, Keith and Brandon all of Augusta, GA; one granddaughter, Amy Marie; one grandson, Edward Michael Jr.; two brothers, Mark S. (Kathy) Fraraccio of St. Louis, MO and David F. (Janice) Fraraccio of Alliance; a sister-in-law, Lenna Fraraccio of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, William and Mary (Mazzaferro) Fraraccio; three brothers, Paul in infancy, James and his wife Zoe Fraraccio and Gregory M. Fraraccio; and his nephew, Billy Fraraccio. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, April 5, 2012 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. His funeral service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, April 6, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Matthew M. Mankowski officiating. Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
