William Charles DuPlain's Obituary
William Charles DuPlain, 67, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, June 28, 2006, at his home. Bill was born in Louisville on July 28, 1938, and lived all of his life in the Louisville - Alliance area. He graduated from Alliance High School in 1957. A veteran of the US Army, he was a social member of the V.F.W. Post 1036. Mr. DuPlain had formerly been employed at Morgan Engineering. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Wm. Penn Club and the Roma Society. Bill enjoyed playing golf, bowling and reading. He is survived by a son, William C. DuPlain, II of Tucson, AZ; a sister, DeAnn Sue (Clyde) Howell of Alliance; a sister-in-law, Phyllis DuPlain of Alliance; nieces and nephews, Crystal (Bill) Blair, Kimberly (Doug) Bartlett; Robyn (Mel) Blake, DeAnn Sue (John) Howell, LaVon (Jeff) McLeod; and several great nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian (Burden) Mindling; his stepfather, Dean Mindling; his father, Clyde DuPlain; and two brothers, Robert Lee DuPlain and Clyde A. "Junior" DuPlain. Private Services will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Louisville. Memorial contributions may be made to the V.F.W. Post 1036, 1036 E. State St., Alliance, OH, 44601.
