William R. Ferguson's Obituary
William R. "Bob" Ferguson, 85, of Alliance, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 11:30 pm at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio.
He was born on May 3, 1932 in White Cottage, Ohio to Claude E. and Amy L. (VanAllen) Ferguson.
He served our country in the U.S. Army and retired from DeCon.
Bob’s favorite thing to do was going on vacation with his grandchildren to Myrtle Beach.
Survivors include two daughters, Karla Ferguson and Penny Murphy, both of Alliance; two sons, Gregory (Brenda) Ferguson of Homeworth and Bret Ferguson of Alliance; a step-son, Douglas Marsh of Alliance; two step-daughters, Denise (Findley) Barker of Beloit and Brenda Manion of Atwater; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Theodore, Claude (Jan), Jerry (Pamela), Mike (Darlene) and Terry (Donna) Ferguson; two sisters, Kay (Donald) Marshall and Diane Donohoe; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his wife Dolores A. (Stults) Ferguson, whom he married on July 14, 1971 and died on February 24, 2017; his parents; two brothers, Roland and James Ferguson; two sisters, Betty Mast and Jackie Trainer; and his grandson, Michael W. Ferguson.
A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
