William "Bill" Bennett's Obituary
William "Bill" Bennett, 83, of Minerva, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2009, at 12:15 a.m. at Green Meadows Health and Wellness Center in Louisville. Born on April 12, 1926 in Clarksburg, WV, he lived in the Alliance area all of his adult life. Mr. Bennett was a graduate of Alliance High School and was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II. Bill retired from Transue & Williams, where he was employed as a superintendent. In his past-time, he loved to golf and bowl. He is survived by a daughter, Diane (Ted) Rastetter of Minerva; and two grandchildren, Sarah and William Davenport. Preceding him in death was his wife, Edna (Ring) Bennett on February 13, 1979, whom he married on July 21, 1950; his parents, Clarence and Freda (Gill) Berlin; and a brother, Claude Bennett. There will be no calling hours or services.
