Willard "Calvin" Baker's Obituary
Willard "Calvin" Baker, 90, formerly of Alliance, died on Wednesday morning, January 23, 2002, at the Hennis Care Center in Bolivar. A lifetime resident of Alliance, he was born on August 27, 1911, and was a member of the Alliance High School Class of 1929. Previously being employed as a draftsman at Taylorcraft Aviation, he retired while working in real estate and carpentry. Survivors include his daughter, Dianne M. Hamman of Cement City, Michigan; six sons, Ray C. of Annandale, VA, Lee A. of Pittsburgh, PA, Dale E. of Bridgeville, PA, James A. of North Canton, David E. of Minerva, and Bryan K. of Warren; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Willard Alcinous and Mary Elizabeth (Young) Baker; two sisters, Margaret Milford and Olive Toalston; and a brother, Arthur Baker. A Memorial Service will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, January 26, 2002, at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. David Cobb officiating. There are no calling hours.
