Ward Coulter McClarren's Obituary
Ward Coulter McClarren, 89, of Alliance, died on Sunday, December 22, 2002, following a sudden illness. Born June 6, 1913 in Josephine, PA, he was the son of Zora and James McClarren and lived most of his life in Alliance, where he retired from Morgan Engineering. He was a decorated veteran of World War II, serving in the 9th Army, 13th Corps in France and Germany and achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. He is survived by son, Denny McClarren of Canton; step-daughters, Lois Igro Woolf of Sebring and Connie Igro Cronick of Mt. Dora, FL; six grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. McClarren was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen Dzuroff Igro McClarren; brothers, Porter, Wilbert, Robert and Leonard; and sister, Ella Hancock. Private services for family only are being handled by the Sharer-Stirling- Skivolocke Funeral Home. Burial, with military honors, will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
