Wanda L. Beck 's Obituary
Wanda L. (Barkey) Hall Beck, 82, of Alliance passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 7:20 am at Community Care Center in Alliance, Ohio.
Born on March 4, 1933 in Evans City, Pennsylvania to Henry and Blanche (Potts) Barkey, she lived in Alliance for all of her adult life.
Wanda was member of Alliance Church of the Nazarene. She was formerly employed at the Zabeo Food Company for 13 years and B&W Research Co. Mrs. Beck had volunteered at Alliance Community Hospital for many years. Wanda loved spending her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her ex-husband Ronald Hall of Ravenna and together he and Wanda had four daughters, Rhonda (Pat) Kelleher of Alliance, OH, Brenda Robinson of Homeworth, OH, Cindy (Mike) Greiner of Alliance, OH, and Anita Battershell of Jackson, TN. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Dyan Tucci, Matthew Kelleher, Ashley (Larry) Chiporo, Brandon Battershell, Lisa (Travis) Williams, Adam and (Erin) Battershell; eight great-grandchildren, Logan Tucci, Emma Tucci, Elena Kelleher Olivia Chiporo, Damion Chiporo, Mia Williams, Victoria Battershell, and Sadie Battershell; sister, Marilyn (Wayne) Cearfoss of Port Charlotte, FL; brother, Daniel (Rhetta) Barkey of Beaver Falls, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Ronald Leroy Beck, whom she married on September 8, 1979 and died on June 10, 2010; her parents, Henry and Blanche Barkey; three sisters, Jessie Jilg, Irene Hughes, and Jean Enslen; and three brothers, Randy Barkey, Henry Dale Barkey, and Robert Barkey.
Per Wanda’s wishes, private services were held.
The family would especially like to thank the Alliance Hospice and the Staff at Community Care Center and the ICU Unit at Alliance Community Hospital for their exceptional care given to Wanda while she was under their care. Also a special thank you to Dr. Dib, Dr. DePeralta and Dr. Basit for their guidance and compassionate care.
