Walter R. Crowe's Obituary
Walter R. Crowe, 87, of Berlin Center, died on Saturday, December 6, 2003, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown following injuries suffered in an auto accident on October 24, 2003. He was born September 29, 1916, in Marshall County, West Virginia, a son of Russell and Austa (Henceroth) Crowe. Retiring from TRW in Minerva as a tool and die maker, he was a member of the Carroll Masonic Lodge #124, the 32 Scottish Rite, Valley of Steubenville and the International Order of Odd Fellows, Delroy, Ohio. Survivors include his wife, Jean (Campbell) Crowe (whom he married December 30, 1940); three sons, James B. Crowe of Salem, Harold W. (Marilyn) Crowe of Minerva and Gerald L. (Michael) Crowe of Arcadia, FL; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Alta Lusk and Beryl Mason both of Moundsville, W. Va. and Jean Bishop of Lakeland, FL.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; six sisters; and three brothers. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 9, 2003, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. with Chester Bryant officiating.
