Vivian Ruth Mindling's Obituary
Vivian Ruth Mindling, 90, of Alliance, died on Friday, August 15, 2003, at 3:15 p.m. at Canterbury Villa. A lifelong resident of the Alliance area, she was born in Limaville on May 30, 1913. She attended the Beechwood United Methodist Church and had been a poll worker for the Board of Elections. Mrs. Mindling is survived by a daughter, DeAnn Sue Howell of Alliance; a son, William Charles DuPlain of Alliance; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Irene Weimer of Ravenna, Wilma Castaloni and Velma Ferguson, both of Erie, FA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde A. DuPlain; her second husband, R. Dean Mindling; parents, Howard William and Edith Mae (Fox) Burden; sons, Clyde A. DuPlain, Jr. and Robert Lee DuPlain; step-son, Frederick Dean Mindling; and granddaughter, Lorena Mindling. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, August 18, 2003, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 19, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Louisville.
