Virginia D. Wilkinson's Obituary
Virginia D. (Durm) Wilkinson, 81, of Alliance, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 3:50 pm at Community Care Center in Alliance.
Born on April 2, 1935 in Alliance, to Virgil and Flora (Salisbury) Durm, she lived in Alliance all of her life and attended Bolton School.
Virginia was employed at Teledyne Monarch Rubber as a Machine Operator and retired after 26 years of service.
Virginia loved to camp, crochet, knit, and spend time with her family and her dog, Ginger.
Survivors include daughter, Pamela Mantsch of Alliance; son, Richard (Cindy) Wilkinson Jr. of Alliance; three grandchildren, Richard Wilkinson III, Casey (Jill) Cline and Candi (Dennis) Risden; eight great-grandchildren; her brother, Wilbur (Carol) Durm of Alliance and Ronnie (Corky) Durm of Canton; sister-in-law, Cheryl Durm of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband Richard R. Wilkinson, Sr., whom she married on March 25, 1951 and died on July 4, 2000; her parents; a brother, Jerry Durm; and her best friends, Peggy Zeppernick and Pat Chester.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 11:00 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Grow, of First Assembly of God Church, officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
