Virginia Waggenspack's Obituary
Virginia (Gabor) Waggenspack, of Alliance, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Crandall Medical Center. Born on June 30, in Alliance, she lived in Alliance all of her life. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Alliance High School and of the Alliance Business College. She retired from the Transue & Williams Steel Forging, where she was employed as a Billing Clerk. Mrs. Waggenspack was a member of Alliance Garden Club. Survivors include her two daughters, Dr. Beth Waggenspack of Blacksburg, VA, and Joan (Brian) Skidmore of Alliance; a son, Dean (Rosaleen) Waggenspack of Kettering, OH; eight grandchildren, Courtney, Stephen, Nathan, Luke, Sasha, and William Waggenspack, Nicholas and Bryce Skidmore; a sister, Helen Solomon of Bay Village, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews, their spouses and families. Preceding her in death was her husband, U. Vincent Waggenspack on March 14, 2005, whom she married on August 20, 1949; her parents, Alexander and Eugenia (Trombitas) Gabor; and a brother, John Gabor. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Msgr. James R. Kolp as celebrant. Interment will follow at Alliance City Cemetery.
