Virgil P. Valentine's Obituary
Virgil Paul Valentine at 94 years of age left this world to be with our Lord on Thursday May, 28th 2026. He was a great man who has left a positive legacy for generations to come. Preceding him in 2015 was his wife of 56 years, Iona Carole Valentine, his parents Ray & Ruth Valentine and his four younger siblings Gene, Jerry, Rich & Betty.
He was the oldest of 13 children, born in Alliance, Ohio, graduated from Louisville High School and spent his days in Alliance, Maximo, Louisville and finally Hudson Ohio. Proud American Airforce Veteran of the Korean War who helped to keep our fighter planes & pilots safe in the skies. He was an awesome Skilled Tool & Die Maker (Skilled Machinist) working for Alliance Machine, Alliance MFG, Ford Motor Company and several smaller companies in his latter days.
Man of devoted Catholic Faith and member of numerous organizations such as the Alliance Elks & American Legion (50+ yrs each). Served others on countless committees for Regina Coeli, St. Thomas Aquinas, Ford Motor Community Credit, Bowling leagues, St Joseph Cemetery, Alsation and more. He was also a coach for track & field & other sports, but most importantly life.
Family being his proudest legacy, and his 3 boys: Michael (Beth) Valentine of OH, Bruce “Ray” Valentine of CO, and Thomas (Debora) Valentine of GA. Eight siblings & three Sister-in-laws: Harold (KC), Jim (Evelyn), Wayne (*Mary Jane), Ray (Sue), Juanita (*Dick), Reggie (Linda) Steve (Michele), Cindy, Gerri & Jan. Six grandchildren: Anthony (Jenna), Brittany, Abbey (Tommy), Zac (Christy), Vittorio and Skyler. 12 great-grandchildren: Hailey, Mikey, Scout, Maverick, Zoe, Charlie, Everett, Charlotte, Tate, Lindsey, Ashley and Jonathan. Six great-great-grandchildren: Grace, Emma, Sadie, Asher, Liam & Mallory. *denotes deceased

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 9:00 am - 10:30 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 11:00 am at Regina Coeli Catholic Church. Burial, with military honors, will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
