Virgil C. Hoyle 's Obituary
Virgil C. Hoyle, 90, of Berlin Center went to see the Lord on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 9:41 a.m. at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring.
He was born on January 31, 1926 in Berlin Center, Ohio to Grace (Burkey) and Charles Hoyle. Virgil lived in Berlin Center most of his life and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the 28th Infantry Division and fought in the Battle of the Bulge and served as a scout on many dangerous missions. Mr. Hoyle was a brave and loyal soldier as well as a patient and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
After the war, Virgil worked on many different construction jobs as a superintendent. Mr. Hoyle was always hard working and a perfectionist on the job site.
Mr. Hoyle leaves behind his loving wife of 65 years, Stella (Cubon), they were married on October 28, 1950 in Randolph, Ohio. Mr. Hoyle also leaves behind his beautiful daughter, Donna (Gary) Demes along with grandchildren Deandra Harvey, Gary Demes Jr., Jarrod Demes; a great grandchild Luka Harvey, which brought him much joy; brother Ivan (Barbara) Hoyle; sister Viva Siegel; and many, many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hoyle was preceded in death by his parents; and grandson-in-law Greg Harvey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Matthew Mankowski officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 17, 2016 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
