Virgil Harris' Obituary
Virgil Harris, 82, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at 10:20 a.m. at Community Care Center. He was born on April 5, 1930 in Fly, Ohio, and lived in Alliance most of his life. Virgil retired from Sancap and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He is survived by his daughter, Jamie Valenzuela of Florida; a step-daughter, Cheryl Pilmer of Alliance; two step-sons, Alfred Steed of Alliance and Daniel Steed of Moundsville, W.Va.; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death was his wife, Estella (Baughman) Harris on April 4, 2007, whom he married on July 8, 1982; a step-daughter, Diana Tschappatt; a step-son, Michael Steed; his parents, John E and Zola (Hall) Harris; a sister, Hazel (Harris) Bolen; and two brothers Harold and William Harris. Private family services will be held. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park.
