Virgie Bernice Kiser's Obituary
Virgie Bernice Kiser, 70, of Alliance, died on Monday, October 20, 2008 at 2:00 a.m. at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on July 16, 1938 in Olive Hill, KY, and lived in Alliance for the past 41 years. Virgie attended the Alliance Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Kiser had previously worked with caring hands. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially enjoyed shopping with her sisters. Virgie is survived by her former husband, Jimmie Kiser; two daughters, Joanna (Mike) Middleton of Alliance and Dinna (Dave) Daniels of Alliance; a son, Keith (Doris) Kiser of Alliance; four granddaughters, Destiny, Rebekah, Katie and Emily; four grandsons, Ben, Isaac, Mason and Matt; a great-grandson, Hunter; four sisters, Sue (Marlin) Oakley of Olive Hill, KY, Sarah (Everett) Stamper of Olive Hill, KY, Madjina McGuire of Olive Hill, KY and Jewell Cooley of Olive Hill, KY; a half-sister, Christine (Gary) Robertson of Mansfield; two brothers, Ira (Fern) Cooley of Olive Hill, KY and James (Letha) Cooley of Mansfield; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was a daughter, Kimberly A. Barker on January 24, 2008; a granddaughter, Sarah Jo Kiser on August 10, 2005; her parents, Ora and Mabel (Davis) Cooley; and two brothers, Bill and Tom Cooley. The family will receive friends at the Walton-Schrader Funeral Home on Thursday, October 23, 2008 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Walton-Schrader Funeral Home on Friday, October 24, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Jimmie Holbrook of Alliance Freewill Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Sebring.
