Violet L. Landwert's Obituary
Violet L. Landwert, 61, of Alliance, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at 9:35 a.m. at Oakhill Manor. Born on February 17, 1952 in Alliance, she lived in Alliance most of her life and was a graduate of Marlington High School. She was recently employed at AVI Food Service, at the University of Mount Union, as a cashier. In her past-time, she enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with family. Survivors include her son, Barry L. Landwert, II of Alliance; five sisters, Lavonia (Emil) Mathison of Marysville, OH, Ada (Willard) Stout of N. Benton, Mary (Steve) Settle of Hobe Sound, FL, Joyce (Robert) Miller-Hicks of Aurora and Debra (Michael) Leonard of Bowling Green, OH; four brothers, Sam Rowe of N. Benton, William (Coleen) Rowe of Clarington, OH, Warren (Janet) Rowe of Brookfield, PA, Charles (Tammy) Rowe of Thomasville, NC; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Barry L. Landwert, I on October 24, 2010, whom she married on June 20, 1981; her parents, Homer and Ida (Laney) Rowe; two brothers, Joseph Rowe and Estill "Pete" Rowe; a nephew, David Stout; and a niece, Brandi Stout. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, March 18, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Her funeral service will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, March 18, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. with Steve Settle officiating. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
