Violet (Brown) Allison's Obituary
Violet (Brown) Allison, 73, of Sebring, was surrounded by her loving family, when she went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 29, 2007. Born on November 13, 1933 in Alum Bank, Pennsylvania she had lived in Alliance since 1951. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church for many years. Violet was formerly employed at the Alliance Country Club Restaurant, where she was a waitress for several years. She was also an Avon Lady for 20 years. In her free time, she was an avid bowler and loved to crochet. She is survived by two sons, Robert "Rick" (Janet) Gindlesperger of Sebring and Randy Lee (Barb) Gindlesperger of Acworth Georgia; grandchildren, Angie, Trisha, Shane, Alison, Heath, Tiffany and Nichole; twelve great-grandchildren; siblings, Earl (Barbara) Brown of Alum Bank, PA, Thelma (Gene) Wentz of Martinsburg, PA, Sheldon (Sharon) Brown of Sebring, Gerald (Betty) Brown of Alliance, Belvadine "Leona" Eash of Sebring, Bernard (Dorthy) Brown of Titusville, FL, and Connie McMillen of Alliance; a brother-in-law, Ray McDonald of Alliance, and numerous nieces and nephews, who affectionately referred to her as "Sarge". Violet was preceded in death by her former husband, Robert Gindlesperger on November 20, 2000; her parents, Earl and Alma (Fleegle) Brown; and siblings, Vernetta McDonald, Floyd Hainsey and Rev. Merle Hainsey. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, October 1, 2007 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and also on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 from 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael Ping, officiating. Interment will follow at the Beechwood Cemetery.
