Viola M. Seifert's Obituary
Viola M. Seifert, 94, of Alliance, died on Sunday, March 4, 2007, at 1:45 a.m. at McCrea Manor. She was born on August 29, 1912 in Diamond, Ohio and lived in Alliance most of her life. Mrs. Seifert was a member of the First Immanuel United Church of Christ. She was a former member of their choir and had been very active in many of the church s organizations. She was previously employed at the former Raven Restaurant. A life member of the B. P. O. Elks #467 Auxiliary, she enjoyed her times bowling at the club. Her favorite pass-time was baking cookies. She is survived a daughter, Vickie (Richard) Johnson of Alliance; two grandchildren, Scott (Carolyn) Johnson of Allison Park, PA and Leigh Johnson of Magnolia, OH; a great-granddaughter, Brenna Morgan Johnson; three sisters, Charlotte Kinsey of Johnstown, OH, Phyllis Woods of Alliance and Donna Christian of Springfield, OH; a brother, Kenneth Reynolds of Amado, AZ; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Homer L. Seifert on May 9, 1989, whom she married on June 9, 1935; her parents, Almond C. and Susie (Harrison) Reynolds; three sisters, Hazel Carver, Edith Marshall and Pauline Marckel; and two brothers, Harold Reynolds and Albert Reynolds. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 7, 2007, from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Neal Mann, officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
