Viola M. Glasser's Obituary
Viola M. Glasser, 96, of Alliance, died on Monday, April 21, 2003 at 3:00 a.m. at Altercare of Alliance. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 4, 1906, she had lived in Alliance most of her life. Mrs. Glasser was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy A. (Frank) Burkey of Marlboro; two sons, William C. (Carolyn) Glasser of Canton and Richard P. (Joan) Glasser of Alliance; four grandchildren, Michelle Lynch, Michael Cannon, Keith Burkey and Kristin Burkey; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Glasser on September 9, 1985 (they were married on September 21, 1939); her parents, Charles E. and Ada (Fleischman) Held; two sisters, Kathryn A. Oakes and Adeline C. Haupt; and a brother, Charles Held. J Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday from 8:30 - 10:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Saturday at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht as celebrant. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
