Vincent Miller's Obituary
Vincent Miller, 88, of Alliance, died on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 11:56 a.m. at Bel-Air Senior Living Community. Born on August 1, 1923 in Canton, he lived in Alliance most of his life. He retired from Sancap, where he was employed for over 25 years and was a member of B.P.O. Elks #467. In his past-time, he enjoyed golfing and bowling, and was inducted in the Alliance Bowler s Hall of Fame. Survivors include his wife, Stephanie "Fanny" Miller whom he married on February 14, 1986; a daughter, Patty (John "Jake") Sherban of Alliance; grandchildren; John (Jennifer) Sherban, Michael (Jodie) Sherban, Lisa Sherban; four great-grandchildren; Mia, Isabella, Chloe, and Eric; four sisters, Dorothy, June, Donna and Delores; three brothers, Charles, Raymond and Clyde; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his parents, Paul and Rose (Spiker) Miller; and brothers, John, Robert, William, Kenneth, Ralph, Paul and Glenn. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on February 9, 2012 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. A B.P.O. Elks service will be held on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. His funeral service will be held at Highland Memorial Park on Friday, February 10, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Joe Peters officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
