Victor V. Ross' Obituary
Victor V. Ross, 83, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 1:25 am at Great Trail Care Center. He had received Jesus as his Savior in August of this year. He was born on December 1, 1930 in Canton, Ohio to Angelo and May (Oren) Ross and lived in Alliance for most of his life. A veteran of Korean Conflict, he served our country in the U.S. Air Force. Victor was the owner / operator of Ross Roofing Co. for 60 years, managing his business until July of this year. He was a long time member of Sleepy Hollow Country Club and the NRA. Victor, in his early days, enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, skiing & golfing. He was also an avid fan of movies and was a self-taught organ player. Victor is survived by his wife, Patricia J. (Baird) Ross, whom he married on March 21, 1969; his step-son, David J (Mary) Cosma of Dothan, AL; brother, Angelo Ross of Alliance, OH; two sisters, Theresa Ross of OR, Josephine Vickars of Sebring, OH, a special nephew, Thomas Ogdon of AR; and several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Angelo Ross; mother, May Ross; four sisters, Alice Brown, Carol Minch, Mary Ogdon and Rose Ross; and a brother, Dominic Ross. The family will receive friends at the Alliance Baptist Temple on Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Randy Payne, and David Cosma, officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
