Velma M. Losh's Obituary
Velma M. Losh, 87, of Alliance, died on January 17, 2014, at 3:40 a.m. at Bel Air Care Center. Born on May 5, 1926 in Brownsville, PA, she lived in Alliance most of her life and was of the Catholic Faith. She retired from Bud s Deep Discount, where she was employed as a bookkeeper. She was also previously employed at J.C.Penney as a bookkeeper. In her past-time, she enjoyed gardening and flowers. Survivors include her daughter, Velma (David) Traphagen of Alliance; two grandchildren, Scott (Denise) Traphagen and Jeff (Shelly) Traphagen; three great-grandchildren, Logan, Keenan and Kaia; a sister, Mary Dunlevy of PA; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Steve Losh on December 26, 1999, whom she married on November 24, 1945; her parents; three sisters; and a brother. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Her funeral service will begin, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
